Demetrius Washington

Demetrius Washington began his career in banking while earning his undergraduate degrees. After college, he worked in a retail branch before moving into corporate lockbox operations. His path eventually led him to a bank that launched its own fintech subsidiary, marking the start of a 20+ year career in banking, payments, and financial technology. He holds a Sociology degree from Marquette University, a Business Management degree from Ottawa University, and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. He also earned certificates in Commercial Real Estate (Marquette University) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Kapor Center). Demetrius is passionate about community service and economic equity. He currently serves as President of the National Black MBA Association’s DFW Chapter. He previously served on the ForbesBLK Local Advisory Council and the Financial Health Network’s Member Advisory Council. He’s also volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations and participated twice as a Principal For A Day with Dallas ISD.
